Blackhawks vs. Jets

Game Money Line Over/Under
CHI vs. WPG CHI -145, WPG +125 5.5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
CHI (AWAY SPLITS) 2.80 3.20 29.0 31.3% 78.6% -4
WPG (HOME SPLITS) 2.88 2.38 30.0 10.3% 82.9% 12
Things to think about…
These afternoon games I feel can be tough to predict. I think I see this one as a 3-2 kind of game. Lets go take the chalk on both teams. CHI (Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp, Marian Hossa and Duncan Keith). WPG (Andrew Ladd, Evander Kane and Dustin Byfuglien).
Blues vs. Lightning
7 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
STL vs. TB STL -125, TB +105 5.5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
STL (AWAY SPLITS) 2.00 3.67 27.0 27.3% 100% -4
TB (HOME SPLITS) 3.00 4.00 27.3 23.5% 83.3% 4
Things to think about…
This could be the best game of the day today. TB is quietly playing extremely well and STL is flat out dominating teams right now. STL scoring can be tough to predict but here are the players I like (Jay Bouwmeester, Alex Pietrangelo, Alexander Steen, T.J Oshie and Chris Stewart). TB players to target (my sleeper D man of the day Radko Gudas, Steven Stamkos, Martin St. Louis, Alex Killorn and Ryan Malone).
Ducks vs. Sabres
7 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
ANA vs. BUF ANA -175, BUF +155 5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
ANA (AWAY SPLITS) 3.00 2.44 25.1 6.3% 63.3% -15
BUF (HOME SPLITS) 3.25 1.38 32.0 16% 80.8% -14
Things to think about…
I continue to not believe in the Sabres on any front. You can roll confidently with Jonas Hiller tonight in net. BUF is giving up an amazing 32 SA/G. ANA players to target (Kyle Palmieri, Nick Bonino, Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry). If I were to pick 1 BUF PP option tonight it would be Matt Moulson.
Flyers vs. Devils
7 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
PHI vs. NJ NJ -135, PHI +115 5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
PHI (AWAY SPLITS) 3.25 2.25 31.5 14.3% 78.3% 18
NJ (HOME SPLITS) 1.50 2.75 21.5 18.2% 90% 0
Things to think about…
PHI plays last night absolutely killed me. Do they bounce back against a very good defensive NJ team at home? I am not going to count on it. I think you could look at taking old Martin Brodeur in goal tonight. Also I like these NJ players (Jaromir Jagr, Adam Henrique, Marek Zidlicky and Michael Ryder)
Bruins vs. Islanders
7 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
BOS vs. NYI BOS -140, NYI +115 5.5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
BOS (AWAY SPLITS) 1.60 3.60 25.2 12.5% 78.6% 2
NYI (HOME SPLITS) 3.13 3.13 29.8 29% 75% -12
Things to think about…
BOS has been extremely good defensively at home lately. I think I like this to be maybe a 2-1 game. I do very much like the BOS PP options (David Krejci, Torey Krug, Zdeno Chara and Jarome Iginla). I think I will fade NYI tonight. This may come back to bite me but BOS is good defensively. Tuukka could be a play tonight however he will extremely expensive.
Hurricanes vs. Rangers
7 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
CAR vs. NYR NYR -175, CAR +155 5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
CAR (AWAY SPLITS) 3.17 2.50 30.2 18.2% 72% 6
NYR (HOME SPLITS) 1.00 1.00 28.0 12.5% 85.7% -2
Things to think about…
Ranger splits are useless because this will be only their 3rd game at home. With that said I like Henrik Lundqvist to continue his excellent recent form in goal. I really don’t like many NYR players right now but I do like these two Benoit Pouliot and Chris Kreider.
Panthers vs. Capitals
7 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
FLA vs. WSH WSH , FLA 5.5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
FLA (AWAY SPLITS) 4.40 2.00 29.8 4.5% 78.9% -13
WSH (HOME SPLITS) 2.83 2.50 34.5 28.6% 86.4% 2
Things to think about…
WSH put 7 goals up on Philly last night and now they go home and play the worst road defensive team in the league? Sign me up. WSH players to target (Joel Ward, Jason Chimera, Nicklas Backstrom, Mikhail Grabovski, Troy Brouwer and Mike Green). Keep an eye out for Ovechkins status tonight as he did not play last night.
Penguins vs. Blue Jackets
7 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
PIT vs. CLS PIT -125, CLS +105 5.5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
PIT (AWAY SPLITS) 3.20 3.20 24.8 22.2% 66.7% -4
CLS (HOME SPLITS) 2.50 3.17 31.0 18.2% 86.4% 11
Things to think about…
To line stack PIT players or not to line stack PIT players.. This is the question that DFS hockey players have to ask themselves every night PIT plays. For me on a night like tonight with 13 games I feel like a fade is a super good option. Now that is not to say throwing in Chris Kunitz, Jussi Jokinen or the heating up Evgeni Malkin in your line ups could be a strong play. I do however like the CLS PP options tonight (R.J. Umberger, James Wisniewski, Brandon Dubinsky and Marian Gaborik).
Maple Leafs vs. Canucks
7 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
TOR vs. VAN VAN -140, TOR +120 5.5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
TOR (AWAY SPLITS) 2.00 3.14 38.1 21.7% 89.7% -7
VAN (HOME SPLITS) 2.67 2.50 26.5 4.8% 88.2% -20
Things to think about…
This could be a dandy of a hockey game tonight. I really can’t see past that TOR is giving up 38 shots per game on the road! VAN players (Ryan Kesler, Daniel Sedin, Chris Higgins, Jason Garrison, Henrik Sedin and Mike Santorelli). The TOR PP could see quite a few chances lets take these TOR players (Cody Franson, Phil Kessel, James van Riemsdyk and Nazem Kadri).
Canadiens vs. Avalanche
10 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
MON vs. COL COL -145, MON +125 5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
MON (AWAY SPLITS) 1.00 3.00 31.2 31.6% 88.9% -2
COL (HOME SPLITS) 2.00 3.50 31.2 25% 86.4% 13
Things to think about…
This should be an interesting East vs. West top matchup. Budaj will play for MON and Jiggy will likely play for COL. COL won an exciting game last night in OT vs. DAL. Call me a homer but I picking all Avs here to beat up on their old friend Budaj. COL players to target (Paul Stastny, Matt Duchene, Alex Tanguay, Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog).
Red Wings vs. Oilers
10 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
DET vs. EDM EDM -110, DET -105 5.5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
DET (AWAY SPLITS) 2.71 2.71 30.0 11.1% 81.5% 11
EDM (HOME SPLITS) 4.20 2.00 26.4 23.5% 75% -10
Things to think about…
DET played last night and beat a surprising tough CGY team. I look for the Red Wings to score at least 4 tonight vs EDM. DET players to target (Tomas Tatar, Pavel Datsyuk, Danny DeKeyser, Henrik Zetterberg and Justin Abdelkader). I think we may see Petr Mrazek in goal tonight which could be a sleeper goalie for a GPP.
Coyotes vs. Sharks
10:30 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
PHX vs. SJ SJ -200, PHX +170 5.5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
PHX (AWAY SPLITS) 3.57 2.71 36.7 14.8% 82.4% 2
SJ (HOME SPLITS) 1.88 5.20 21.4 27.6% 78.9% -20
Things to think about…
If you don’t use any SJ players tonight you aren’t trying to win. Load up on Sharks tonight. SJ players (Logan Couture, Joe Pavelski, Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Tommy Wingels and Patrick Marleau). PHX may put in a couple here are the PHX players to target (Shane Doan and Radim Vrbata). Ekman-Larsson and Yandle are great options but on sites like Fanduel that take away +/- I might stay away.
Predators vs. Kings
10:30 pm EST
Game Money Line Over/Under
NSH vs. LAK LAK -195, NSH +165 5
Team GA/G G/G SA/G PP PK PIM Difference
NSH (AWAY SPLITS) 2.50 2.00 31.0 10% 85.7% 12
LAK (HOME SPLITS) 2.71 3.43 24.7 23.3% 76.7% 4
Things to think about…
Jonathan Quick is a great start tonight in goal. I will continue to pick on NSH and their goalie issues. LAK players to target (Jarret Stoll, Anze Kopitar, Justin Williams, Mike Richards and Drew Doughty)
Alright lets break down all the information with some quick picks.
Goalies to target: Jonathan Quick, Henrik Lundqvist, Martin Brodeur and Jonas Hiller
Teams to stack: SJ, DET, WSH and ANA
Sleeper plays: Jarret Stoll, Tommy Wingels and Radko Gudas

Wrapping up!

Alighty the draft has been moving quickly so I have had to make a bunch of picks on the move.  Lets look at em and see how I did.

Florimon is the starter in MIN, some nice middle infield depth
Guzman is also 1B eliagble he wont hurt my BA

Harrison super utilty guy that will make the team in PIT

Green also will be on the team out of ST.  Nice to have guys that will play in the majors..

Volstad will be the 4th starter in CO... I mean at least he is in the rotation.

Mendoza and McPherson both fringe starters with respective teams.  They could slide into a starting spot and do OK this year.  Basically just flat pitching depth.

Looking to close out.  Ill look for another closer lotto ticket and probably another starter.

Here are some of the pitchers I am looking at.
I like them in that order too.

I am also looking a taking Lou Marson.  He is a catcher who backs up Carlos Santana (who will play alot of 1B this season).  If Marson goes Ill take 2 pitchers!

updre

With the draft coming to a close I haven't been able to update as much as I have wanted to but here is what I have done!
Presley could be a real nice speed option in the OF.
Corbin is a starting pitcher who may be useful.
Getz is a 2nd baseman who shouldn't hur t my AVG.
Delabar.. Huge steal.. great pitcher could end up being closer
Schafer more OF depth
Rogers high k/9 rate could do some damage.

Looking forward.  I still have 10 picks.  Its important to pick guys that have high upside now and maybe some prospects.  I still need some middle infield depth too.

Guys I am looking at..
Middle Infield
Clint Barmes... He is horrible but he plays all the time.
Alex Gonzalez...
Pedro Florimon.. Starter in MIN
Joaquin Arias...
Marwin Gonzalez...

More to come later!

Huggge update coming ready?

Soooo those are my last couple of picks.  Truthfully I am really happy with all these and achieved my goals for those rounds.  A

Arroyo and Zito are old and not great but they are dependable.

Pacheco AVG is great and if he becomes catcher eligible that could really get me out of a pickle.

Betemit is also a 1b.  Nice power nice numbers.

Got my boy Carrera... He backs up swisher and bourn.. so good job me.

Ryan Hanigan is my 3rd catcher so I don't really have to worry about that so much anymore.  Hechavarria is the starter in Miami and could be a super sleeper.    DeJesus starts in Chicago and steals a ton of bases good one to have.

Now if you want to see the draft results for the last couple of rounds email me.  If not well good.  Lets look at my roster and the holes(back up spots that need filled!).  Then we can find ADP players to fill those needs.

        C                           Montero                                         C                                 3B

HIGH NEEDS
OF Depth
2B Depth
SP Depth

2. Berry 538
3. Wells 509
4. Guzman 591
5. Smith 461
6. Cowgill 587

Like em..  If I could get two I would be pleased.  If Presley and Berry are both there I may use both picks on em.  REALLY want Presley or Berry.

1. Harrison 661

Craig Stamen 668
Darren O'day 614
Steve Delabar 647
Koji Uehara 566

If I could get 2 of these guys I would be happy.

29-30

Man if I could get Ciriaco here it would be sweet.  Meh maybe I pull the trigger on Carrara here.. Or EY

Or maybe grab McAllister, Cashner, Skaggs

Round 27 -28 Woot Woot

Cruising along here... looking at the dudes.

David Dejesus- 415
Cliff Pennington-  399
Pedro Ciriaco- 490
Bronson Arroyo - #394
Chad Billingsley #395
Ross Detwiler #379
Ryan Hanigan #415

Not going to lie if Pennington and DeJesus fall to me Ill be really happy.  Both of them fit into my line up perfectly.  DeJesus is going to get regular ABs and is not going to hurt me in AVG and will chip in all other categories.  Pennington is perfect fills a tricky MI role for me and is "projected" at some pretty high SB numbers.  I decided to wait on a MI.  After studying more I felt as if I had to grab another starting pitcher.

Arroyo would be nice because he is pretty much guaranteed a ton of innings.  He is the #2 in CIN.

I would be happy with either Detwiler and Billingsley becasuse they are solid starters and I could count on them if one of my top 6 guys went down.  They could also out produce their projections and ADP.  They also probably wont fall off and be useless.

Hanigan would just be a guy I could kinda count on if one of my catchers went down.  Montero is a stud and will probably catch 140 games... Welington is a gamble but I will back him up with Steven Clevenger (He will be there in the high 40s).  As I am writing this I am realzing who gives a shit about your 3-4 catchers.  Back up your guys and be done with it.

Got who I wanted...

I took Drew Storen and Jordan Pacheco.  Storen is a nice closer lotto pick and Pacheco is a solid utility player for the Rockies who has a great average.  Could also qualify at catcher too sometime this year.  As he has been playing catcher a lot this spring.

Now looking forward.  Closer lotto tickets aren't my biggest worry anymore (Hernandez and Storen).  I need to start working on starting pitching and outfield depth.  I am still ranked at 1st but my stolen bases have gone way down.  Ill look for an outfielder who will help me there.

He are some top speedsters left.
I may not have to reach for them but I REALLY need at least one of these guys.
Ciriaco could be an option too.

Carrera?  Give me that.
EY I would be down.
Parra yes.

The others no.

Carrera- 614 early 413 I will reach for him.  Just decided.  I take it back Ill wait but wow I love those #.
EY- 435
Parra- 399
Need one of these guys.
